Children’s Picture Books Symposium Comes to Ankara between November 4th-14th 2022!

 

“Children’s Picture Books Symposium: In Writing-Illustrating-Reading” and “Illustrations from Children’s Picture Books Exhibition: The First Step” will take place in the European Union Research and Application Center (ATAUM) in Ankara between November 4th and 14th 2022 in cooperation with Reading Culture Association (Okuma Kültürü Derneği), Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences, Ankara University Research and Application Center for Children’s and Youth Literature and the Embassy of Finland.

The symposium will host conferences and panels on the child, reading and writing, drawing and illustrating children’s picture books on November 4th 2022.

 

On November 5th 2022, two workshops will take place to review and discuss the production processes of illustrations of children’s books.

 

Between November 4th and 14th 2022, our symposium will host an exhibition that will display illustration examples from children’s picture books for ages 0 to 6 and book covers.

 

Illustrators, designers, authors and illustrators of children’s books, kindergarten teachers, librarians, parents, educators, experts in related fields, academicians and lovers of children’s books and reading enthusiasts are all welcome to our event.
